Major provincial route, Highway 103, is the quickest route from Halifax to the Ten Beaches area. Our area can be reached while traveling southwest along Highway 103, and then by taking Exit 5 (Tantallon), Exit 6 (Hubbards) or Exit 7 (Chester).

The Halifax Stanfield International Airport is just an hour's drive away, located about 20 minutes north of Halifax, off Highway 102, at Exit 6. Traveling from the airport to Ten Beaches, you take Highway 102 south, and then the Highway 103 "South Shore" exit when you reach Halifax. You can also take the more scenic route along Highway 3, which you can access easily from any of the South Shore exits.
Via Rail also provides regularly scheduled train service from across Canada to Halifax, where rental cars and bus services are available to get you to Ten Beaches. Via Rail offers a number of vacation packages specifically for tourists, available on its web site at www.trainpackages.ca.
Ten Beaches is also just a two-and-a-half hour direct drive, east along Highway 103, from international ferry services in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Bay Ferries provides seasonally ferry service with its high-speed Cat ferry between Yarmouth and Bar Harbour and Portland, Maine.
